Short Films

February 24th, 2004 Posted in Activities, Culture

It has really never occured to me till now to go watch an evening of short films. I suppose it’s because I’m trying to immerse myself in Wellington’s art scene and expand my horizons. Last night I saw a number of NZ short films, and they were quite good. Most memorable in my mind were French Door and Kitty. The former was a creatively chilling film, while the latter was hilarious, both because of it’s simple concept and complex cinematography. This Friday I expect to enjoy a few more shorts. If you’ve never taken in an evening of short films outdoors or in a theatre setting, take the first opporunity to do so, you may really enjoy the difference.
